Super Opening
Sohrab, Ben, and I are working all this month to get ready for our sharing of Super Compassionate. At first, we planned for an eight hour cycle, but I think we’re going to kick off this experiment with four hours. Come check us out Saturday the 20th at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, or 9pm. See three naked Trumps struggle with the nature of reality for 45 minutes, then do it all over again.
MasonMake.Show
Welcome to my new website! I’m still working to clean things up, but we’re getting very close to completion. Only a bit more projects to add, and then a whole bunch of news posts to transfer over.
I want to shout out my fabulous designer Abbey Kostyal! She worked with me to figure out colors, fonts, logos, and build this Squarespace page. Highly recommend her for your design needs.
As you poke around, please do let me know what you think, and be sure to contact me if you spot any typos or glitches as the dust is settling.
New Soon
The 2025 Philadelphia Fringe Festivalhas come to a close. Lots of projects that I was connected to, not to mention all the work I supported as a Cannonball Producer. Whew!
Updates are a little slower on here as I am working on a redesign of my website that I plan to complete by the end of the year.
<MAKE><SHOW> Fringe Arts
FringeArts hosts a version of the <MAKE><SHOW> workshop I've been running this October/November. You can sign up here.
I'm also excited about two new residencies:
Eco Week with Fresh Ground Pepper at Little Pond Arts Retreat. I'll continue work on a new project with my brother and Sohrab Haghverdi.
A project I'm developing with Lightning Rod Special has been awarded The Next Forever Commission by The Civilians and Princeton University's Lewis Center for the Arts and the High Meadows Environmental Institute.
Full Philly Fringe
The Philadelphia Fringe Festival approaches! I'm working as a producer with Cannonball to support some 300+ performances. In addition to that producer work, I'm involved creatively in a handful of projects:
Co-Creator and Director for Fascist Groove
Creative Producer for LRS's Lions
Outside Eye for Ascension Death March
Co-Creator and Director for Total Modeling

"Foriegner" Flies Again
Sohrab is Bumbling Foriegner one night only at FringeArts. Friday, March 21st @ 9pm.
See the experience audiences have described as:
"Unconventional. Undismissible. Unforgettable." "Restored my faith in live theater." "Made my entire piss drinking shitty hyphenated American life so beautifully worth it." "Fucking rad."
And one Barrymore voter railed as:
"A waste of talent. Could have been funny and/or enlightening. Can't imagine why you wouldn't play a suave Casanova trying to pick up naive American girls. You have the looks/body for it. Just don't understand the need to 'uglify' that. P.S. I actually googled retrograde ejaculation—and guess what? It's a real thing! So I actually did walk out smarter than I walked in (but still wanted to take a shower)."
Flux NYC
I'm back in Philadelphia after two weeks in NYC:
Attended my first APAP and was mightily disillusioned by the state of arts funding in the US and the whole idea of the arts as a stable career path.
Was buoyed some by PhysFestNYC. Flux shows went well. Check out this review from a blogger that attended one of the two performances.
Supported Alex Tatarsky as an outside eye in the development of their new work NOTHING DOING, and attended a handful of other Under the Radar works.

Spring '24
I'm looking forward to teaching my first class at University of the Arts' Ira Brind School of Theater Arts in the new year! I'll be teaching a script analysis class for undergraduate theater majors across all of UArts' programs: Acting; Directing, Playwriting and Production; Musical Theater; and Theater Design and Technology.
