Don't Be Scared
After all the craziness that was fringe, things have slowed down considerably. But that doesn't mean there aren't still wild performances on the horizon. Next up is the Hall of Haunts on Oct. 26th and 27th from 5pm-Midnight in Allamuchy, NJ. I'll be creating a unique journey deep into the human mind for one of the many rooms in this historic mansion. Don't be scared.
Coming Up Next
Now that the Philadelphia Fringe is dead and buried, it's on to the next project. Here are a few things to look forward to ...
1. I'll be working on a new dance piece with Gina Hoch-Stall's company RealLivePeople(in)Motion.
2. My LAB Fellowship has started and I am in the beginning phase of a new solo work. More details to come.
3. The group I worked with on The Sea of Tranquility is coming together for another project under the banner Medium Theatre Company. The project has several stages the first of which is a series of solo pieces about mediums, psychics and seers in Rutherfurd Hall at the end of October as part of their "Hall of Haunts". The second is a coming together of these solos for a TBD Philadelphia run. And finally a residency back at the Hall in March 2013.

The End Is Near
Wow! My first Philadelphia Fringe Festival is almost over. I've had such a great time, and I am incredibly proud of both Hackles and MMMM. Both of which have received great reviews and awesome word of mouth. Still 4 chances to see MMMM. Tonight and tomorrow night at 7pm and again at 10pm.
Hackles Review
My first Philadelphia review. Tickets are still available for Hackles, every night at 8pm until Sept. 16th.
Fringe Approaches
I'm incredibly busy in the best way possible! On Tuesday I had a work in progress showing of Hackles, the piece I've directed for the Fringe running Sept. 7-16. Tomorrow I have a work in progress showing of Mining the Mine of the Mind for Minderals, the piece I've co-created and will be performing in from Sept. 19th-22nd. Get your tickets now! Both pieces are going to be awesome!

ABOUT THE EVENT
Join local neighborhood residents and Commotion artists for an intimate evening of performance and a communal dinner in the historic and beautiful Shiloh Baptist Church. In forget me...forget me not, a new performance installation created by Subcircle, audiences will wander through corridors and unseen rooms of Shiloh, into a place of forgotten stories and lost objects. You will then arrive at the dining hall and share a locally sourced and home cooked meal with your fellow audience members. Following dinner, Team Sunshine Performance Corporation presents Wonderwave, a new physical-theatre piece that uses humor and dance as a tool to delve into the emotionally complicated realm of coping and loss. In this work they investigate natural disasters, the music we listen to in times of desperation, the dances we make to embrace our circumstances, and the glimmer of hope that helps us to stay afloat. Enjoy dessert, as you chat with the performers and your new dinner friends.

Experiments with Z
Here is some YouTube footage of experiments and research with Zornitsa Stoyanova.
#1 is an experiment in translating a specific song into gesture. I'm trying to gesture/sing "A Whole New World".
#2 is some research around deconstructing language. I took the word "lilac" and tried to use it in conversation with Christina. Skip to around 5:00 if you want to go straight to the weirdness.
